At the time when I was taking this course, we were a few months into the pandemic, and I had seen a lot of stories regarding how much nature around us was affected since everyone was inside. I chose to take that story and display it through a series of photos and accompanied those photos with poems that depict the emotions of the photos.

 

The series starts off with suffering and the pollution of the air in LA and water in Italy, which then progresses to photos of people with masks and in hospitals. The photo story ends with cleaner air in LA and bright blue water in Italy, as well as animals roaming free in an empty street. Alongside these photos are poems symbolizing renewal and isolation.
