Technology: Adobe Illustrator, R Programming

 

The Maryland Crime Visualization involved researching crime statistics within the state of Maryland. I chose to create a visualization with this data because I have lived in Maryland my entire life and wanted to display what the crime in the state truly looked like.

 

Violent crime and property crime rates from 2018 were used to construct the visualization and the data was broken down by county. This visualization also involved drafting graphs and receiving feedback from my peers to improve the smaller visualizations. The graphs were programmed using R and the final visualization was created in Adobe Illustrator.
